Conservative Principles

Just to be clear on some general issues, I want to let everyone know how I stand on some general ideas.

I believe life begins at conception. To kill an unborn baby, without clear and imminent danger to the life of the mother, is murder.

I believe in the rights of law-abiding citizens to own and carry firearms.

I believe our country was founded on religious freedom. I find nothing wrong with saying a prayer on school grounds or before a public meeting. Our founders were of many faiths, and our current population reflects such. As long as our government does not prohibit, or require, religious teachings or worship, I have no problem with such public displays and actions.

I believe our military must continue to be strengthened, especially as our world evolves and as our enemy, and his tactics, change. I have faith in our military leaders in their ability to protect our country. We should not place obstacles, such as laws or lack of funding, in the way of their jobs.

I breathe the same air and drink the same water as everyone else. I too want clean air and water. Some laws and restrictions do little to help the environment and create expensive compliance costs to businesses.

I have decided to run for congress after many years of people asking me, "Why don't you run for congress?"

I believe the current Republican leadership has failed Republicans everywhere, but more than that, they have failed Americans.

There is nothing wrong with true Conservative principles. The problem is the lack of actually living up to those principles.

I hope that my one voice in Congress, along with the thousands of voices of support for me, will usher in a new wave of conservative Republicans that will always stand by the principles of the Republican Party. In doing so, our country will have better days ahead than anyone could ever possibly imagine.
