Taxes

First and foremost, our tax system is a failure. It must be completely scrapped. Progressive taxation will be the death of America as an economic superpower. We are currently at the point where about half of Americans pay about 95% of all federal income taxes. This cannot continue. The “richer” someone is, the less incentive they will have to produce as they take on more and more of the tax burden. A recent example is Rush Limbaugh. Because of an increase in the taxes in New York, he has, or is planning, on removing the rest of his company and residence out of the state. Where it might be assumed the city and state of New York once received tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars from him and his company, they will soon receive none. In an interview on the topic, Donald Trump said he knew of people, both very rich and upper middle class, that were already in the process of moving, have moved, or are seriously considering it. Trump did not rule out his moving out. What is going to happen when those people decide to leave the country, or to simply stop producing wealth? From where will we get our needed money to fund our needed, and unneeded federal programs? A progressive tax system is, and always will be, a failure.

Of the current alternatives, I favor The Fair Tax, a national consumption/sales tax www.TheFairTax.org. If you have not read the books on the subject, I encourage you to do so. The Fair Tax certainly has its problems; however, it is much better than our current system. No tax system is perfect. Just like elections sometimes, we must choose the lesser of the evils. Having once worked for the IRS, I can assure you, it is time our current tax system be abolished.

I have decided to run for congress after many years of people asking me, "Why don't you run for congress?"

I believe the current Republican leadership has failed Republicans everywhere, but more than that, they have failed Americans.

There is nothing wrong with true Conservative principles. The problem is the lack of actually living up to those principles.

I hope that my one voice in Congress, along with the thousands of voices of support for me, will usher in a new wave of conservative Republicans that will always stand by the principles of the Republican Party. In doing so, our country will have better days ahead than anyone could ever possibly imagine.
